A bear was walking down a footpath one day and met a young girl named Rachel who was watering her garden. She politely gave him a curtsey and some muffins to eat on his trip.
Toodle-oo Chutney Bear! Rachel waved.
Chutney continued walking and walking and eating his muffins along the way. Before long, a dark forest stood facing him. The rustling leaves made him fearful. Chutney didnt know what to do, he didn't know where to go so he sat down and waited for someone to come along.
Hop, hop, hop. A bunny hopped by.
Chutney, Ive been looking all over for you. The bunny said.
Im lost Bunny.
Bunny said, Me too
The bear and the bunny began to get hungry and their tummies grumbled. Chutney, willing all his strength, tried not to eat his friend. He was, after all, a carnivore and Bunny did seem meaty indeed.
Look here!
Chutney snapped from his daydream. Where? He asked.
I found crumbs! Bunny replied. Lets follow them. They might lead us to cake!
So follow the crumbs they did, their search, however, did not reach an ending of the sweet kind. The sight ahead of them was very familiar.
This sight is very familiar, said Chutney.
Familiar or not, Bunny was sad. Theres no cake. We cant eat this cottage!
Youre right, Chutney licked his lips, But I can eat you!
With that, the bunny screamed, its eyes quickly welling. The bears mouth creaked open, ready to rip and tear flesh.
Then, they both laughed, as good friends do.
Lets eat Rachel instead.
Terrific idea Bunny.
To cut a long story short, they got home safely, full from their dinner and soundly slept (in different beds).
